Finally walking!!!

Oh I'm so happy!!! Today Kenji has finally mustered up the courage, once again, to take off walking all alone. It's one of those milestones that will be recorded in his baby book of records.

It's a double memorable day -- the day Kenji finally walked AND ... it's also James' 21st birthday today!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMES! Wish you the best this next year.

Alright, so it may be a bit late to be walking at 13 months, but the reason for this was because when he was 10 months old (the time when he was starting to walk) he got pushed and shoved quite a bit by some kids and as such he got scared and stopped attempting to walk :( .

Indeed very sad, and then right about the time when he was getting past the "scared" stage we were getting ready to move so that brought in another factor ... insecurity. But TTL now he's taking off again.







I brushed his hair back ...hee, hee... since we were going out to the store for a little snack he had to look his "best" :D .











Playing "hide 'n go seek" with mom in the garage.








Aha! I found you! -- This is one of his favorite indoor games right now, as he can actually get away with "hiding" (more like getting into something naughty) and then being found with his "pants pulled down" and not necessarily get in trouble.







He's holding a 1 peso coin that he managed to take out of my hand, very naughty.










Just making sure it's real.

I can't believe it, I'm walking!!! This is fun!











And to think that all this time I was missing out on THIS!

I let him get some chips as a special little snack for parent day.
















He was quite intent on picking out his own bag.















He searched through a couple of them, but in the end he opted for the spicy Cheetos.

































And now after a long trek to the store (2 blocks away, mind you) I think I deserve to sit down and enjoy my snack.
