Alright so I won't write a lengthy post about his 'month day' this year :D, so I'll just leave you here with some pics and videos (to make up for the semi-short written post, hee-hee) of what we did on that special day, which happened to also fall on 'family day.' YAY! We had a fantastic time at a super fun park, had a picnic, and the Lord supplied a couple of rides for the kids to go on making the picnic outing even more exciting! TYJ! And this sweet man said we could come every Monday (the day he is there) if we wanted. Awesome!
His month day is actually Feb 29, but this year there were only 28 days, sniff... oh well March 1st is just as good, heh. And something special that is worth mentioning is how the Lord supplied two toys for him (believe me I had no intention of getting him toys for his 'month day') which I let him open today - to sort of add to the excitement and fun!
I read somewhere that you can get a pretty good estimate of a child's full adult height by doubling the height they are at 2 for girls and 2 1/2 for boys. So being that Kenji just turned 2 1/2 I measured him and he presently is 3 feet tall!! My goodness, he really will be towering over me! :D I told him "you're going to be a 'giant' if this little calculation is right." And he said, "no, me David" then proceeded to swing his hand (slingshot, mind you) around and kill Goliath. Guess he related the word 'giant' with Goliath and he most certainly doesn't want to be him, but rather David since he wins. Ha! Too cute!
P.S. Big thank you to Esther and cousins for one of the presents and the other present came from a family that just arrived here a short while ago. They brought it as a surprise for him, I didn't want to 'kill' their joy in giving it, even though he already had one. Yet with this new one he'll actually be able to ride it by himself, as his other one is a tad bigger so his feet just barely reached the pedals.
* His wrist didn't get injured, rather he insisted on wearing that bandage around his wrist like his Unlce Ez. As soon as I put it on he started "break dancing." It was too cute! I'll try and get it on video - if he lets me, he's so shy at times, heh.
