Odd, yet so cute!

Yep, that would describe my little guy pretty well right now. :) Every day without fail there is something new he says or does that is just far too cute, silly, and sometimes even leaves me wondering, "how did you come up with that?"

If I were to try and jot all the cute things he says and does it could take me ages so I will save you, the reader, the time and just put a couple of them up here. Some are of a couple of weeks ago, other days, and yet others some months ago, yet all adorable.

Here they go:

* Lately I've been doing a lot of review of his A-B-C's (letter name & sound) and one time when we got to "Ww" I said the letter name 'double u'." He looked at me perplexed and repeated, "devil u?" in a disbelief sort of way. -- Ha! So cute!

* His all time favorite Bible story is David & Goliath. Go figure! When I asked him how do you say Goliath in Spanish, he thought for a moment and then very confidently said; "Golias." -- Well of course, how could I miss that!

* While watching a movie the other day he yelled out "mamasita," then got all bashful, when a pretty girl came on screen! -- I couldn't believe my ears! I have no clue where he picked that up from, my only guess is from Kinder!

* While waiting for his turn on the scooter, and his turn finally arriving he said; "me fault again, Angel!" Rather then "my turn, again." -- Heh, dunno how he got those 2 words mixed up!

* Another thing he's begun doing before, and during, he rides the scooter or trike is getting himself "prepared" for his ride. He pretends to put his helmet on, tie his shoes, slip on different things on his body, clean his belly button (don't ask me why)among some things. -- My little clean-freak Virgo! Ha!

* Every so often I try and switch the books on his book shelf so as to not bore him and while taking out these certain school related books he got so happy and said; "Thank you mommy, me haven't seen this book in a long time ago!" -- I love his grammar! :D

* We were looking at a 'Shapes & Sizes' book together and I happened to point out some marbles to him, he very confused and with a note of discontent said; "No, canicas, mommy!" -- Ummm, okay same diff, my little chicano! :P

* While out at the park the other day he came over to me and looked at me with the cutest little side look and a huge mischievous smile and said; "Catch me up, mommy!" And took of running. -- Guess he combined "Catch up to me, and Catch me, mommy." Ha!

* Lately he's been driving mommy up the wall with his defiant disobedience & 'nonniness'. I took some time to talk to him about this behavior of his and we've agreed that if he disobeys he gets time out or a swat if the offense warrants it. Yet, the other day while in the midst of explaining to him that he was going to get a swat, he looked at me with his 'puppy dog' eyes and said; "A little swat, mommy, 'cuz me little." -- Such a smart (yet 'nonny') little cookie. He got a swat nonetheless, mind you.

* He finally has a little friend, Luis. And the other day I caught him hollering; "Luisy, come play with me." I asked why do you call him Luisy? His answer; "Because he's little, mom" in a definite matter-of-fact tone. -- Mind you, Luis is about 8 months older then Kenji and a tad bigger too! :D

* For some time now he's been a dry/potty shiner both in the day and night yet with the arrival of a new kid, Luis who isn't fully potty trained yet, he started to back track a bit in that area so I encouraged him to once again be a potty shiner with a little shiner prize incentive. He loves it, yet just the other day when I gave him the usual shiner prize (1 raisin, nut, cookie) for staying dry during quiet time he said; "No, me 2 1/2!" -- In other words he was stating that because he's 2 1/2 he should get 2 1/2 prizes!. My, goodness! :O Since when did you become good at math?!

* When we exit the room, even if just for a short moment, he never fails to give his spirit helpers (paper dolls on the wall) a quick 'heads up' of where we're going. And he adds; "me be right back, wait, no fighting, no crying. Okay?" -- Guess he copied that line from me, ehe. My cutie!

Well, there you have it! Okay, so those were a couple more than a few :D, but you've got to admit they are all so cute and as such worthy to be posted. ;) Hee-hee. I know, I know what you're all thinking, but I can't help being such an adoring mother of my little man. How can one not be!

Oh, one last thing I'm going to mention here is the recent interest he's gotten for break-dancing. I don't know where or how this came to be, but my guess is that he picked it up from Ez, way back when he was here. But it's just interesting how recently (months after Ez's departure) he started to "show-off" his 2-3 little moves. Heh!

And to tell you the truth he's not that bad in copying the moves Ez would do - considering he's a 2 year old, ehe. I'm quite amazed at how he remembers some moves and how he even adds a tad of his own little attitude/personality to them. He even made me put a wrist bandage on him before doing his "break-dancing!" So far I've only captured pix of his "break-dancing," but hopefully I'll be able to get him on video.

Love to you all. May the rest of March be a good one!
