Such cuteness!

I know that this may very well be an overused term mothers use, but it's so true! Kenji is filled with so much cuteness, and I'm not trying to brag about it, but I just thought everyone should know. :D Everyday he has some new cute thing up his sleeve, or rather forming in the back of his mischievous little mind!

Although he still isn't talking a whole lot :( he is very smart and understands everything both in Spanish and English. :) Because of this "lack of communication" via words he makes himself known through actions, kind of like charades. :D Quite frankly it's pretty cute!

It's quite entertaining and funny to have him give you a rundown of how/why he fell, or what exciting thing happened during an outing, or what Angel did to him to make him cry, what particular thing he wants to do for "school," etc. But I think due to the attention he's gotten by the kids from his hilarious rundowns he has started to overuse this and misuse it.

How so? Well for instance, one day Kenji found one of Angel's toys lying around. He picked it up and started to play with it and quite surprisingly it caught his interest for a good 20 minutes, that is until Angel spotted Kenji with "his" toy. (Both of them are still learning to share "their" toys, it's a working process :D)

Anyways, Angel when up to him and grabbed the toy from his hand to which Kenji replied with a yell as if he had gotten badly hurt (very naughty). So of course grandma and I go running towards Kenji thinking he got hurt, but no he's perfectly unharmed and rather just throwing a great big fit. (We didn't know this at first, as when we got to the "scene" Angel was long gone--he knew he had done something naughty. Such a rasacal!)

I go up to Kenji and ask him "Honey, what's wrong, what happened, did you get hurt, where?" He stood up, tear-less face mind you, and acted out what happened and I realized that the reason for his yelling was due to Angel grabbing the toy he was playing with and not because he had gotten hurt, TTL!

So then I had to explain to him that while it was wrong of Angel to grab his toy it was also wrong of him to have yelled the way he did because of it. If something goes wrong at any given time, for whatever reason, he needs to call me or grandma and we will help him, but never, ever, yell unless he's gotten badly hurt. I then had to go ahead and correct him for yelling unnecessarily to get a point across.

TTL, he got that particular point/lesson down but now another problem came up, SR. Yep, believe it or not this little Virgos' SR side has begun to show. :D It's adorable yet naught at the same time. And something I foresee myself having to keep a very close eye on. :)

Anyways, so the other day pretty much the same thing happened (Angel taking Kenji's toy away, yet this time I saw the incident) but there was no bloody murder type of scream following Angel's actions. Hmm, I wonder why? Well Kenji didn't know that I was looking at them and much to my surprise he went up to Angel and waved his little index finger at him, burrowed his eyebrows, and slapped his hand! It was more like a tap, but his intention was to slap him.

So naughty, and SR!!! He has grabbed toys away from Angel and the other kids plenty of times before and when I explain to him that I'm going to have to slap his hand for doing so, he waves his little index finger at me while hiding his other hand behind his back and trying to run away, while of course putting on his best smile! Oh, Lord, what to do with this little tyke of mine! He's too intelligent and mischievous!

In spite of all that, he's a sweetheart and likes to help others quite a bit and I'm so thankful that he is hitting a stage where he alone seeks out Word time. At least twice a day he will actually bring me his Toddler Bible in pictures or his Word books and ask me to read him some stories. Although I'm wondering now, if maybe all this Word is just "adding" to his SR? LOL
